I have a hotmail account for more than 12 years. I just configured for the first time my account in a smartphone, and got blocked. Microsoft is asking me to verify the account, and phones on records are very old (we have moved countries several times). When I go through the verification page, we manage to answer many things around the recent activity, but still there are questions related to the time when we setup the account 12+ years ago and we can't remember, so that answer from Microsoft is they can't verify. I am waiting a very important email, and this is creating a lot of problem and stress. I just submitted an on line case. If I don't get this resolved, I swear Microsoft will lose a customer forever.

my account was hacked by someone in nigeria who has removed all my messages which amounts to a couple of thousand and lots of personal stuff , i gained access only to locked out again , not sure if its microsoft , i have tried the recovery process probably 10 times now but im been told im not providing enough imformation , my secret questions have been changed , i have had a stressful week  with cancelling of my credit cards , on line banking , e bay , pay pal and the list goes on , i have tried calling microsoft but to no avail, i did notice when i gained access to my account that my mail was all been redirected to another account abviously in  nigeria , i managed to get my contacts from the account but all i want to do now is to recover whatever is left and shut the account down , this has been hugely stressful for me , there was a lot of confidental imformation stored there and is now in the hands of some nigerian , microsoft have been no help whatsoever , im using the same computer from the same place so it cant be that hard to recover my account , im no in  nigeria , i dont want anymore account recovery messages as they dont work and i cannot provide enough imformation for them,

I had had difficulty with this account back in May 2013 because it was closed without any notice and it was only just "reopened" by Microsoft.

I did not ask them to close it as of Sept. 06 2013...................I don't know where this is coming from???

I do not want my account closed please prevent this from happening again.

After trying for three weeks to recover my email account i am now at the point of going crazy. I have done everything Microsoft has asked for like asking me for my old passwords to which i have gave them two old ones,names of my files,last emails i sent and received. There is no way any other person but myself could no this information. Tonight i have tried again and Microsoft are now saying because there has been multiple unsuccessful recovery attempts from this account they recommend to open a new account,why should i because they have all the information they need. I am losing business because of this. You sent me a link to recover my password but the link wont open,the only thing i can do is fill in the 
questionnaire which i do everytime but without luck. Please help as i need my email address URGENT for work.

Microsoft tech team used up all of my new laptop allowance to setup my email a/c with outlook. Only for it to never to again work after this. Today I decided to enter the world of outlook express after a long spell as I tried to sync my calendar but it doesn't even know who I am now. I am fed up with not having an email facility, calendar and the things available in microsoft outlook. Even if someone helped me set it up (once more), it would only forget me next week and emails would not be synced with yahoo again. How do Microsoft get away with this stuff? I feel angry because I feel so powerless. I am not a PC expert and have taught myself everything but cannot get past some aspects which appear too difficult and are without reason. If the work I did went wrong consistently - I would be held accountable and probably dismissed immediately. Effectively, I paid money and did not receive a service. Now I have no form of live support without paying money. 
I get so confused I dare not start to think of using skydrive or the suchlike. There is so much on my new laptop (which apparently is top spec) that is available, but I simply do not use it. I have spent 2 hours trying to get some sort of sense from syncing my outlook a/c to my calendar. Even changing passwords and receiving emails from microsoft - yet I am still not recognised by them? Any outlook stuff which I had in the very beginning has all gone too! To be honest, as it was too much stress, I stopped attempting to use outlook as it forgot my yahoo email immediately and I was wasting my time, syncing time after time. Life is too short to keep getting annoyed, so I refrain from having any anger about it by simply not going there. However I am trying to find some way of making my life easier re calendars. Some folk have everything to hand - but I am still writing things down on paper (and on my hand) when I potentially have the very latest technology at my fingertips
To save becoming too frustrated I am deciding to leave things alone - but how nice it would be to have my busy work schedule available on my phone and at home. I have to inform people to wait until I am at home in front of my computer diary, and I will ring them back. I am self taught and not young either, but some of this stuff is difficult when one has no one to show them how. It does not come naturally to me and it is hard, but I am nothing if not persistent if it is not presumed that I understand all of the IT linguistics. Has anybody any ideas? if I haven't bored you to death already?

I loose my connection to the internet as the system is trying to upload the attachment.

I have IE10, Windows 7. I have uninstalled Silverlight. Reinstalled Silverlight. Deleted cookies, and made all the changes I have seen listed on this forum. Nothing has worked and I simply must be able to attach to my emails. I work from home and this is imperative. I have noticed that the latest dates on these forums is in July. Has anything new transpired since then?

Hi.

I recently began receiving the following emails several times a day, everyday, sometimes one per minute with different confirmation numbers/codes/emails. I don’t know what these are, who they are from, why some are in spanish, or how to stop them.
This problem began in 2012.
I’ve reset my password several times, but continue to randomly receive the emails. I do not know how someone is using my email to form other emails, or if I have been hacked. 
I want this stopped, but have no idea what to do, or why I’m receiving these emails.
If I can’t get them stopped, I will be forced to forward all private folders/email/contacts to a newly created email with another provider for privacy concerns. This is horrible, as I’ve had this account for countless years without any problems.

Please help!

Microsoft sent me a message through my Hotmail: We need to make sure you can receive a security code if you ever lose access to this account. Where should be send you code? and it showed my yahoo account. I received the code through my yahoo account and could access my hotmail/outlook one. After that I changed my password TWICE. I can access my hotmail/outlook account now. But here is my question: does microsoft send such a message when hacking is suspected? Thing is that I have reasons to believe someone is trying to intesect my messages. PLEASE HELP

Have the Outlook on my Samsung Galaxy S4 but it's not sync'd with the computer.

 

If I work the email on my computer, I have to re-do everything on my phone and viceversa.

 

I called Microsoft and they told me to ask here, they didn't have an answer.

 

Anyone having the same problem?  How did you fix it?  The Outlook app only has 2 1/2 starts, doesn't seem to be rated well.
