Original Title: Microsoft Account Address and Alias addresses
I have a Microsoft account with a hotmail E-mail address. I have set up three hotmail alias addresses. I can send E-mails from any of the 3 addresses but the recipient always sees them as coming from my Microsoft A/c address. Also when I receive E-mails they are copied to the 3 Alias addresses regardless. I am using Microsoft Live Mail. What am I doing wrong?

The Wiki article above says how to create a new Microsoft account, but is there a way for a Gmail user to use their Gmail address to create a new Microsoft Account? I thought that someone with an external email address could create the account but still use their old address to login to their account and access SkyDrive resources.
I receive the error "You need to cancel any paid services or Microsoft Points account associated with your Microsoft account" when I try to cancel my Microsoft account.
I suspect this is due to there being a free xbox live account being associated with my Microsoft account, that was automatically created, unbeknown to me, when I created a Microsoft Account through Windows 8.
There is no way for me to cancel the xbox live account as it is not a gold subscriber account.
I have no use for this account anymore as I have another Microsoft account which I use for the partner program and website spark program.
Please can a Microsoft employee make it possible for me to close this account. I give you permission to access my account and make any necessary changes required for me to successfully close my account.
Thanks in advance.
