I have changed my password anyway but would like to know how this occurred.
I have received an email from Microsoft Account Team, thanking me for verifying my Microsoft account and giving me a code number. The problem is that the address shown was not mine but my grandson's! I contacted him but he has no idea what happened.
He lives 200 miles away and never uses my computer.
My Windows Phone tells me in the "email + accounts" section of "Settings" that I have two Microsoft accounts. One account is named "Microsoft Account" and has a username that contains the domain name for an old, no longer active, email account; I think
this service used to be called Microsoft Live or Live.com. The other account is named "Outlook" and contains the domain name of my current active email account. I think I want to delete the no-longer-active account. I cannot find it at all when I go to www.outlook.com.
I cannot figure out how to delete it from my phone. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
When I try to login to my outlook alumni e-mail account it says that I am currently signed into an Office 365 e-mail account and that I must sign out of the Office 365 e-mail account then use another microsoft account to sign into outlook.com. I have
never had an office 365 account and don't have any way to get into my outlook account.
I am trying to get into my blocked account, problem is my yahoo account no longer exists, they deleted it due to inactivity and that is the email I have my My xbox live account linked to. I did sumbit a ACSR forum.
These are two issue numbers I got from Microsoft about this. "98389396", and "98389399"..
I am locked out of my account. I also talked to xbox customer support and filled out a password escelation to try and get the account unblocked.
What else can I do??

Hi,
Accessing https://commerce.microsoft.com I have this weird issue where multiple countries are being displayed: I have two US account (business and personal), one from AR (Argentina, both business). And... one from CY, which I believe it to be Cyprus (¿¡!?).
Besides the fact that I've never had anything related to Cryprus... I should only have one in the US and one in AR, I believe. Is there some way to "clean up" these accounts?
Thanks!
Hi, I was migrating from Microsoft Live@EDU to Office365, and as a Result, the user should have two accounts, an Office365 Migrated Account, and a Microsoft Personal Account for using Skydrive, the data that the user was storing should have been kept.
We have a User that, trying to logon received the Message "That Microsoft account doesn't exist. Enter a different email address or get a new account". I tried to get support for this issue and was recommended to create a new account with the same name, you'll
imagine that I didn't recover the data with these procedures. After creating a new account with the same name, support from Live@EDU can't help me out with this, I still have the URL's of some documents stored in the OLD account that i'd wish to recover. I've
been told to ask for help to the skydrive community. Is there anything that could be done to recover those files, and if possible, the complete account?
Thanks in Advance
We are getting Outlook Calendar notifications to our business email address. This was set up by an ex employee. When I go to reset the password on the Outlook account I am told "The Microsoft account you've entered does not exist". How do we stop these
notifications?
I have just spent a VERY frustrating 3hrs via the live chat with Microsoft.
His questions & my answers:
Q. What is the account?
A. I am entering the email address that the notifications are being sent to. I did not set up this account so this is the only guess I would have.
Q. What is the password?
A. I do not know the password. I did not set up the account. I am trying to reset the password.
What I have tried:
I have clicked on the Reset Password option on the Login screen.
I entered the email address that is getting the notifications.
The message appears in red "The Microsoft account is incorrect. Please try again."
My questions:
Is there a way of back tracking the Account Name to an email address? Because this account name appears to be different to the email address that is getting the Notifications.
Is there another way to stop the Notifications and/or close the account?
Any help on this one would be highly appreciated. I am very frustrated by the whole matter :(
While on Xbox Live the other day it said I needed to verify my Microsoft account. I went over to verify on my computer and clicked it to send the verification code email to an email I still have access to. The email never arrived after multiple attempts
and multiple days of waiting. I have checked the spam folder as well and have not found any emails.
After trying this option, I tried the option saying "I don't have a code" and tried to fill out the form. The email I used for my account was only created so I could have a Microsoft account. This means that I never sent any email or created folders. I
also never had a credit card attached to the account so I didn't have that information. I entered all my personal information and the answer to my security question, but apparently this wasn't enough to establish ownership. I tried multiple times and it never
worked. I even did this on a computer that I had previously logged in to my Microsoft account on.
It's been over 5 days and I have tried multiple options, including the Microsoft support chat room, xbox live customer support and emailing someone from Microsoft support. No one seems to understand that I have tried all of these options and tells me to
simply reset my password. Trust me, I have already done that. Thanks for the help in advance, I just want to get back on my xbox :p
This account can't be used to access Outlook.com
You're currently signed in with an Office 365 email account, which can't be used with Outlook.com. Please click here to
sign out of your Office 365 account, then use another Microsoft account to sign in to Outlook.com (for example, your hotmail.com, live.com, or msn.com account).
