My older emails are (greater than 1 week) are missing from my inbox when using Chrome, folders are ok,  After trying to recover thru deleted messages a "pop" folder came up with all my old messages, it was under deleted messages but the messages in it had never been deleted.  I was able to move the "pop" folder under my inbox but unable to get them back into my inbox.  There are almost 7000 message over a 10 year period.  Please help me restore them into my inbox.
On one of the message threads it talked about signing in to your account then on the right side click on the cog and selecting options and more options to set up "Http"  when I sign in and click on the cog or my name I do not have options in my drop down box??
Hi,
I linked my hotmail account to the programme MAIL in mac. Since I did that when I go online only 10 emails appear in my inbox, and some in "POP". How can I see all of my emails again in my inbox??

Thanks,
Carlos Bentabol
When I open Outlook it has started consistently opening to a new message window which has  the address of the  last person I sent an email to.  I have to cancel it to see my inbox, but the next time I open up Outlook, the same new message is there instead of my inbox.  I have cleared my cache, history, and cookies and logged completleyl out but it still continues to open up in this new message window instead of my inbox. I even sent that message out, but it was back again when I opened Outlook.  How I can I get Outlook to open to my inbox instead of this message?

I have a fresh install of Outlook 2013 on Surface Pro and was able to add my Hotmail.com account.  Outlook starts to download mail in the inbox and then it will all disappear.  After a while it will either resume downloading mail or totally clear out the mailbox.  I let it run for about an hour and it finally filled the inbox, but when I checked a folder it was empty.  I went back to the inbox and it was empty again too.

This is a Hotmail account that I have had for many years and there is mail in the account.  do I just need to let it run overnight?

How soon before I can use Outlook to send/receive email on that account?

I recently added a domain to my domains.live.com account, simplyhealth-calm.com , that I admin and was setting up email for. When adding a user I got an alert that the user already existed and it gave me the option to import that account over (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***)

This person does not know her password as the account is old and inbox is set as inactive. I tried the forgot password options on outlook.com and it says the account doesn't even exist. How can I reset the password, make the mailbox active, etc ?

After making an alias for my old Hotmail account then changing it over to the primary alias. I had tested logging in with both handles which worked great. The day after, my account now gives me the error about the inbox being updated. After reading multiple forum discussions about others with similar issues. I have tried multiple computers/browsers/devices. I still have access to my skydrive as well as calender and people. This is my primary email, it is frustrating to not have access to it's content.

I have already posted in another thread, in which a moderator asked me to create a new thread for further assistance.

Read a few new messages then went back to inbox to do a reply to one of them.  When I clicked one of the messages, it disappeared from the list and the emails listed below it moved up a line to fill in the gap.  Poof, my message was gone.

It's no longer in the inbox so I checked junk & trashcan folders but not there either.  Then did a search to see if I could find it anywhere, in any folder, no luck.  All I wanted was to re-read the message and make a reply.  But now its gone with no trace.

This happened to me a couple days ago and again today.  Never seen this before these 2 times.  Clicking a message listed in my inbox usually brings up the message for viewing, but these 2 times the messages completely vanished.

Now I'm afraid to click any email messages in my inbox, they might disappear too.

I check mail using the web, first time it happened I was using Chrome (Version 29.0.1547.76), today it happened while using IE (Version: 9.0.8112.16421) .

Is hotmail broken or am I doing something wrong?

I went to my email only to find my inbox is completely gone and would like to know how this happened and how to get my inbox back

Many of my e-mails are delayed arriving to my outlook.com inbox.  I know this for two reasons 1) I can send an email from another account to my outlook.com account and it will not show up to my outlook.com inbox until 4am or so (even if it is the afternoon when I send it) and 2) I have some e-mail automatically forwarded from another account and I can see the messages in my other account hours before they arrive on outlook.com (I have checked the server log and they are forwarding right away, so it isn't a problem with my forwarding server).

Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Thanks!

I am using Outlook.com.  It shows that there are 96 emails are there but only 7 show !! The Inbox information says there are 3 pages and 96 emails in the Inbox, but I can only see about 7,, and the arrows to move to other pages are "grayed out".  THe number that is now at 94 keeps increasing, but I can't see the emails being added either.  How can I gain access to these listed emails?  Running "recovery" in the Delete folder made no difference.  What can I do ?  Help.
