I tried logging onto my hotmail account from my new phone and then hotmail has since blocked my account stating that someone else is trying to access my account. It says that I need a security code to unlock it and the only way that it'll send one to me is via my email address, which, obviously, I can't access! The other option is "I can't verify my account", which I clicked on and then it asked me to fill out a form with all my details to send to a specific email address (I sent it to my mother's email), it has since come back saying that they cannot verify my account. I called Microsoft and they said that they couldn't do anything apart from suggest this forum to me so any help would be greatly appreciated!
I've had my hotmail address for 15 years. About a month ago, I made an Outlook account that I thought was Outlook Express default email (that pops up when we click on an email address at a website we wish to email). But instead, it overrode my hotmail address. So I found a way to delete it and yet, it is still married to my hotmail account. When I go to Hotmail, it displays the inbox to Outlook. Luckily my hotmail address is in the left column of choices and I have to click on that in order to see my hotmail inbox. Not only am I unable to disattach the Outlook from my Hotmail, but I have also been plagued with Spam since then, and I don't know why.
I really want to get rid of the Outlook completely. Like I said, even though I found a way to delete it, it is still joined with my Hotmail address with it's own inbox. Can anyone help me out?
Here is my problem i have my hotmail and i lost it four to five years ago so i just made another but now it seems i have to get things from it.

My problem stems from one thing my recovery email is an old Optus one my family can't access anymore and every recovery email i could send it bounced back as i of course after five years cannot remember the last things i sent.

Is there anyway of getting into contact with someone so i can solve this issue thanks
Senders emailing my new Outlook.com account receive a "Delivery Failed Notification" email from the Hotmail Postmaster; however the delivery failed email references my old hotmail.com account rather than the new flatsob*****@outlook.com email address.

Hi, my phone was stolen with all acct info  inside so I quickly changed all passwords. I can't rember passwordes to my Hotmail and alternate (yahoo) email accts. I've moved 10+  times in the last 3 yrs and am not sure how to answer the questions on the form. I've tried twice and still haven't been able to gain access. I saw a similair thread, but it was solved via a "private message".

How can I speak with a live person tyo prove my identity?

Thanks,

Steve Boren

I'm running under Windows 7.

All of a sudden, Hotmail is not loading my Inbox with new e-mails.

My other PC under Windows XP is OK.  My Android phone is OK.  What I have to do is delete my new e-mails on my Android, and then transfer my trash to my inbox on my system 7 machine.

There gotta be a better way.

My brother's account was being hacked by his ex girlfriend. The girl changed his password and put her number and email address as the alternative. So if we wants to reset password, Hotmail will have to send a code to her which she doesn't want to give us. However, we tried using another method which is couldn't access to these ways (call or text her number) but Hotmail replied to say that the answers was insufficient but we couldn't help as we really couldn't reply to those question as we doesn't even send any email out. Any ways to retrieve back other than sending code to her number?
Hello,

I have lost many very important emails since the transition from hotmail to outlook. I would really appreciate it if you could help me recover lost emails. I have already tried to recover emails using the option in the deleted folder. I found that many were facing this problem and were asked to answer the following questions.
  1. When was the account renamed? (Estimated Date and Time) 08/08/2013 10:40 am
  2. Did the data loss occur right after renaming or was the data still there for a brief time? Occurred before renaming the account a few times. No email prior to July 14 appear. The same thing happened when I switched from hotmail to outlook.
  3. Did you have issues logging in before noticing data loss – did you have to reset his/her password? No
  4. Did you click on any link before the issue occurred? No
  5. Did you try to close/deactivate the account before the issue occurred? No
  6. Did you have issues logging in before or after renaming your account? Before
  7. When was the last time you logged into your account? I log in almost every single day. Although, the problem might have occurred earlier than I noticed.
Looking forward for your assistance,

Thank You

One of my clients has a odd issue. From what I can tell they had a hosted service from Microsoft (not BPOS, but possibly a live.com account with a custom domain) and since they have gone from a local exchange server and now to Office 365. Since the move to local exchange and continuing with the Office 365 service, whenever someone emails from Hotmail it does not always get to them. in most cases we get a cryptic "delivery to this recipient has failed" bounce back. this is not with all email but enough to be noticed. From what I can gather from the Headers (posted below) the email never leaves Hotmail.

From what I can gather I think its if the domain is still in the live.com system and getting in the way of sending. But I cant find any way to get into this to remove it or anyone I can contact.

I would appreciate any advise on this.

Regards

Gordon

Hi there

I received an email form a friend that required my password to open (it looked exactly like the Hotmail/outlook log in page- but wasn't), foolishly I opened it. My account was then blocked for a week at my request. I have changed my password but my email keeps sending out emails to all my contacts. It deleted most of my contacts but this hasn't helped. The mails it sends and self deletes are all different, weight loss, dating and evens poetry.

I have reported this to Microsoft. I don't have a PC and usually use an ipad and iPhone-all suggestions on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
