Reminders from Hotmail have time wrong (3 hours early) and I have checked my settings.  Time zone is correct both in windows 7 and in Live Mail
Hi - just a simple question here...

I was wondering if there was any way of preventing Windows Live Mail (part of Windows 7) from entering "Re:" in the subject line when replying to an email...

I know that Hotmail does the same thing, and I'd like to turn that off, too, if possible.  Gmail does not put the "Re:" and I prefer that way.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance :-)

Since the outages on mon and tues January 2013 I have not been able to access my hotmail acct via my andriod phone. I have done everything i can do outside of resetting my phone back to factory settings to fix the issues, it for erver stays in loading and it will not send out as well. I did dl microsoft+7 and tried that as well and got an error code 100.

My active sync is still not working for hotmail on my iphone.  It stopped a two days ago.  I know it was down before but now the status shows hotmail is working properly.  Could there still be some residual issues?  Do I need to do something.

Everything was working fine until last tuesday, January 8th 2013, when my hotmail account had issues because you guys had some sort of server problem. Since then, my hotmail account that was set up on my iPad mail does NOT work! I have tried deleting it, restarting iPad, reinstalling it (under all different types of accounts: Exchange, Hotmail, other) and NOTHING works! The furthest I have gotten is installing it and getting my different folders and emails but it doesn't sync, I got only my emails up until I installed it and everything that came in ever since is not showing up. Basically it doesn't update itself! Funny how this problem occurred after you Hotmail people have had problems with your server few days ago. Need a resolution because this is a true pain in the rear!!!!

Thank you for a prompt response, as this is just non sense!

Microsoft has reported an Outlook / Hotmail outage for Jan. 7-9, although it has removed some of the details from its Hotmail services page. I still have no service and cannot log in. I've rebooted my various devices. Does anyone know at Microsoft that some of us still can't log in after nearly a 72-hour outage? The lack of communication on this problem has been quite disappointing.
Why does Hotmail status say working normally, while EAS still does not work on day 4!

It is not working normally...

Hotmail
Running normally

Since this week I get an error when trying to retrieve Hotmail e-mails on my iPad (iOS 6.0.1), using the iPad's e-mail client. What can I do to fix this?

I recently bought an ipad mini(running iOS 6.0.2) and was looking forward to using it however I have been greatly disappointed as I have had a problem accessing hotmail.

I tried using Safari and after I enter my log in information the page starts to load and then times out. I downloaded Chrome and the same thing happened. I am based in Kyoto, I find it very odd as I am not having this issue on my ipod touch running an ealier iOS... what is happening?

Further Developments:

Today I went to a Vodaphone store to configure a replacement iPhone and ran into the same problem – my Hotmail froze and the appliance started to overheat.   This has now been occurring over 3 months and numerous devices.

One of the technical support staff mentioned that he had experienced the same problem with his Hotmail account due to Hotmail having moved some accounts to new servers.  This was resolved by his account being moved back to the old servers.  Could you please do the same for my account and let me know when it has been moved?

Many thanks,
