windows live mail error 0x800CCC0F to sent mail in W8.1

22. July 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: livemail · Tags: Hotmail Account, outgoing mail, Windows Live Mail, WLM

Hello,
I intall "two-step verification" and I do not work anymore in the hotmail account outgoing mail. In login to windows (which corresponds to an account WLM) I inserted the password received, while in the second the password is not changed otherwise it does not work for incoming mail.

NB. I have two other accounts, one of Virgilio and the other to Alice and they both work with both incoming and outgoing mail, without changing the password.!

Hotmail Hacked

Recently my Hotmail account was hacked and the hacker put in their email as a contact to recover the account. I noticed this immediately and reset my password and removed their email as a contact however how can I be sure that I have appropriately locked them out of the account?

folks stealing hotmail passwords, they then send all your friends a link to an AD for green tea.

This has been happening for a long time. I forwarded the info to abuse at hotmail.com, but they pushed it off over to this forum. Right, I am asking Microsoft and those who run hotmail to DO SOMETHING and find the jerks that are stealing passwords and sending stuff under our names to our friends. Those who are running hotmail and or Microsoft should be able to stop this but it has been going on for years. If it happens to me again, I will be canceling my hotmail account which is nearly 20 years old. I cannot stand inaction and buck passing. Hope they fix this soon. If this has happened to you, please tell microsoft to get on it and stop it. How did they get my password to begin with? Inside job? Something is up...please folks, this stuff is a pain in the neck and should be stopped. GS

Hotmail is not allowing Gmail to connect

I have a hotmail account but I mostly use the Gmail interface. I have never had issues in the past setting up my hotmail account on Gmail through SMTP. Today however, I keep getting this error message:

Authentication failed. Please check your username/password.
[Server response: 535 5.2.1 Login to your account via a web browser to verify your account. code(535) ]

I can log in to my hotmail account on hotmail just fine. I tried changing the password but that didn't fix anything. What gives?

LOST ALL EMAILS DATED BACK BEFORE 2012 ONCE HOTMAIL CHANGED TO OUTLOOK.

Hello,

Having gone through near on all the community threads relating to this issue, I have come to a very obvious and clear conclusion. The Change over of the Hotmail to Outlook interface has without doubt caused the loss of old emails that had always been secure and uneffected in our Hotmail Accounts....(I've never had this issue for the 10 Years I'd held my CONSTANTLY ACTIVATED Hotmail Account). From what I've read, the date at which the emails seem to be mysteriously disappearing does vary for person to person, however the common and overwhelming denominator is that old emails (generally more than a year old) that were either sitting in Hotmail created folders or a Hotmail inbox are now gone.

I assure you that all the valuble emails that were sitting in my Hotmail created folders were there when my account still remaining as Hotmail.

I currently have lost practically all of my documentation and correspondence relating to my now 4 year running, Process to Build my Family home.

I have gone through and checked all of which you have listed could be the potential issue. Like almost everyone else and of course to save your time, my answers are the following

Account Activity - In NO way is it possible that this has occured due to Account Inactivity. I use and have used my account at the very least on                            a weekly basis for as long as I've had a hotmail.....and now Outlook Account.

Conversation Threading - Has ALWAYS been turned off so that's counted out.

Restoring Deleted Emails - This should be called restoring achived emails that have mysteriously disappeared as nobody actually deleted these emails. You cannot continue to respond with the never ending "Perhaps you selected the option that they be cleared of the POP server or perhaps you choose the sweep option"! It is not a mere coincedence that this many people are having the exact same issue! Repeating the comment that this is down to user error in some way or another is an absolute joke.

In the interface change over I opted for the Hotmail to Outlook name change. Based on this, I set my folders up so that my old hotmail email address was added to my new Outlook interface as a listed folder with all my old emails. When Outlook took over I straight away went into the old hotmail listed folder that had been transfered over, where I Undoubtedly directed all my old email to, and found basically an empty folder. I was so distraught to find that what should have been near on 5000 emails, I could only see 12. The folder names also transfered over but only hold emails dated 2012 onwards. To this day prior to 2012 emails have still not retuned.

To cover another avenue, I do have my iphone set up as a POP3 to what was my hotmail account. I'd never had any issues with this set up, never had emails deleted, connection issues, NOTHING. As i have not amended or made any changes to this connection since I set it up years ago, We can safely rule out the issue being related to a change in any POP settings.

I feel I've covered enough of your "Solutions" although I'm sure you'll think of another way to direct this catastophy towards user error. It's clearly evident that 99% of the complaints on this exact same issue must at some point not be responded to by all the pre prepared user error explainations. Some error has occured within either interface that has potentially prevented older hotmail emails from transfering over or caused Outlook, for what ever reason, to delete Hotmail created emails from varying dates (Depending on who you speak with).

I cannot get my House Permit through without some of the data that has been, up until now, completey untouched and safe under my Hotmail Account. OUTLOOK OR SOMETHING UNRELATED TO THE USER HAS CAUSED THIS ISSUE. I DONT HAVE TECH ANSWERS BUT I KNOW THAT WITHOUT QUESTION

I cannot be responded to with "I'm sorry but we can't retrieve emails older then 5 Days". I have not caused this so you need to firstly accept that reality that it's a issue caused by the interface and then find a way to fix it.

I would very much like someone to get back to me with an actual solution to this mess, which is causing me and many others an amazing amount of stress ASAP.

I must repeat that my housing documents are urgently needed so time is of the essence. I don't have time to wait for a response like many times before.

Please sort this out

Can’t send or receive emails and sometimes can’t sign in

18. July 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: Hotmail Account, Mac computer, Safari
Hi,
I started having problems with my hotmail account today, first not receiving emails, then not allowing me to send them, and finally it sometimes won't let me log in. It keeps saying -
Sorry, outlook wasn't able to complete this request, or Sorry, there seems to be a problem with your account.
Another hotmail account has logged in from the same computer so its not a problem with the computer, and I can't log in on other devices either so it's a problem with the account.
We have a Mac computer with OS X, and I tried rebooting, rebooting the modem, reseting Safari, and I tried to remove my cache as per instructions for Safari for OS X but there is no option on my computer under Safari for Remove Cache, so I followed the instructions for the Safari for Microsoft and Reset Safari, and removed all website data.
Therefore I think there is a problem with my hotmail account / now Outlook?
Please help?
Kind Regards

Hotmail account sending bulk messages and spams to my contacts

So here it is I have hotmail, gmail and yahoo email account and to maintain professionalism I use hotmail account for my job and university emails I have never used hotmail account to signup on silly websites or newsletters. but this morning I woke up and checked my yahoo account and received two emails from hotmail account which i did not send, upon checking those emails I found that those were spams with link to some other website. I never experienced such problem before with hotmail and didn't expect this kind of activity. Now I am embarrassed because all my professional contacts were sent those bulk spams and some of them are really professional people. I checked sent folder of my hotmail account and found that those email were actually sent from my account as there were sent messages those were spams with all my contact email addresses.
