Outlook 2013 Hotmail account DISCONNECTED

We have a Hotmail account which is not working with Outlook 2013. It constantly says DISCONNECTED in the status bar. We are able to send email but not receive it. Changes to folder names to sync though.

We have tried setting up a different email account within the same Outlook and it works fine so the fault seems to be with the particular email account.

I have seen that this has been an issue in the past which Microsoft has fixed so perhaps I just need to wait it out. Any ideas?

So today I logged on to my hotmail account and it said the password was incorrect. I changed it. Then after a few minutes it changed again. It keeps on changing. Has it been hacked. I checked the security information which was fine. Please help me!

I have two aliases. But the other one is no longer showing up

Original Title: Alias Trouble

I am not able to see my alias accounts. There were 2 separate pages and saved files in my alias accounts. I had 2 alias. One is going to my hotmail account but my other one is no longer there. I read that windows 8 doesn't allow you to see your alias. Can I just create 2 new accounts and keep my old hotmail account? Or is there a way to see my alias in my Hotmail account? My 2 alias were outlook.com

alias e-mail will e-mails all go to alias account if microsoft shuts the hotmail account down?

ps microsoft wants to shut down the hotmail account . I cannot provide them with a telephone number which they want to send me a security code . much was lost with the storm sandy here in NJ

I cannot reset my hotmail password after being hacked. The reset link opens up an error page!

My hotmail account was hacked a week ago on the long weekend and I had it varified so that I could re gain access to it. Microsoft sent me an email saying all I had to do was re set my password and my email was good to go. The only problem is that I cannot re set my password. The link takes me to an error page that says it is a temporary error and that I need to try again later. This has been going on for a week now. I have tried different links and different ways to get to the re set password page and they all direct me to the same error. I have tried the link off of my laptop computer, my phone, my home computer, different browsers, etc. Is there another way I can re set my password to re gian access to my account?? I need to use this email address it is important and I have been using it for a long time now. It is my primary email account and I am missing important information by not being able to access it. What can I do?

iPhone – Hotmail Account does not stay in Sync

Hello,

I'm hoping someone from the community or MS has a fix for my problem. I've noticed that for a while (intermittently for over a year) my Hotmail account does not stay in sync properly. It will work fine for a while, then every couple of weeks it gets out of sync. This does not happen with email accounts from other providers.

Scenario:
Using the Hotmail/Live.com web interface, I am deleting or moving messages from my Inbox. On my iPhone, the Inbox gets out of sync - meaning moved messages still show in the Inbox or deleted messages still show there. If I try to delete a message that was already successfully deleted from the web interface then the message will only go away temporarily and an error message will be shown.
Refreshing the Inbox on my iPhone does not get things back in sync. Only way to get things synced back up is to remove the account from my iPhone then add it again - a pretty bad workaround. My Hotmail account does not even get very many messages.

Details:
iPhone running iOS 6.1.3
Accessing Hotmail through built in Mail app - account added via Hotmail specific button (have tried MS Exchange option in past with same results)
Mail days to sync = no limit, pushing Inbox folder (have tried pushing others with no difference in terms of this problem)

Either there is a problem with my account or Hotmail does not actually do proper syncing.

cannot get past security for password verification

Someone ha hacked into my hotmail account and Outlook blocked it. I filled out the questionnaire like it said, and it said there was not sufficient information. I did it again and got the same result. I have tried this 3 times and received emails saying the issue would be fixed in 24 hours. That was 3 days ago.

Where did hotmail email address go?

So I tried to use skype yesterday and had to put in a different email address than my old one. I used my new hotmail email address I had been using for months. Then it took me to my email for some reason, so I signed in, and I ended up on the page about aliases. I thought it was telling me to enter a new email address, so I put in my yahoo email address. So now my hotmail account had become my yahoo account? So I deleted the yahoo alias and entered my old email address, *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, as my primary alias the exited. Now it's just gone. My phone can't sign in to my hotmail email, and it tells me my email address doesn't exsist anymore. This whole alias thing is stupid.

If I could get in contact with some microsoft support I'm sure my problem would be easy to fix by just giving them my old email address and password, but theres no more support for hotmail users so I had to post here. The hotmail email address is very important to me and now its just gone. What do I do?

I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN TO DELETE MY HOTMAIL ACCOUNT AND ALL OTHER SERVICES THAT MAY BE RELATED TO THIS ACCOUNT AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND ANYTHING FOR THIS. I CONTINUE TO RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE WHEN I TRY TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT: You need to cancel any paid services or Microsoft Points account associated with your Microsoft account. I DO NOT HAVE ANY PAID SERVICES OR MICROSOFT POINTS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS ACCOUNT. NEED HELP!!!!

Two hotmail accounts hacked and account recovery is not working…

My fiancee has had her hotmail account hacked today... Unfortunately this is the second time it has happened. Last time she was unable to regain access so created a second hotmail account and now that has also been hacked. The hackers have not stopped there they have hacked her Facebook and other accounts included personal accounts.

We have tried to recover the account but this has been without success as the automated recovery system has said that we have not provided enough information. Unfortunately my partner does not use her account for sending emails but more to use to create shopping accounts, banking, facebook etc. She has also never used a card to buy or pay for anything using her hotmail account and has not created any personal folders in her hotmail account, because of all of the above i expect this is why we are being told that not enough information has been provided.

We don't want to setup another account brcause it then means having to change her email on all her amazon, ebay, Facebook, banking, phone etc. We just want to regain access to the two accounts that have been hacked.

The email addresses for the accounts are *** Email address is removed for privacy *** (The most recent account) and *** Email address is removed for privacy *** (older account)... We have contacted facebook and they have asked us to email them a copy of her passport so they can identify her and have blocked her account due to suspicious activity. Is there any way we can provide a copy of her passport to someone at microsoft so something similar can be done?

Someone potentially having access to personal information, photographs of our children etc really scares us and we want to stop it ASAP.
