Gmail forwarding

I realise this may have been asked before but I can't get a concrete answer anywhere.

I have a gmail account and an outlook account. I am forwarding gmail mail to outlook. However, the mail gets sent to the bin in outlook. Every day I have to move it manually to the inbox, EVERY DAY!

I have no rules for sorting new messages, no pop or imap (impossible to configure). Just forwarding from gmail to outlook.

Also, it seems outlook doesn't receive all the mail that gmail gets.

PS. Problem exists in outlook.com and Win8 mail app and outlook for Android. No probs with gmail.

Can you help me? This afternoon I noticed I wasn't getting certain emails from sellers on ebay. So I have sent 2 test emails from my gmail account to my hotmail account and they haven't come through. I also tried sending an email from my Hotmail address to my Hotmail address and I didn't receive that either. I have only had 1 email come through in 7 hours which is unusual. That was a notification email from ebay. I should have received several emails regarding purchases from other websites also.

I use internet explorer mainly to view my emails but also have access through Outlook 2010 and my HTC Android smartphone. They all show the same thing.

I haven't knowingly changed anything and I can't see a problem with any of my settings.

I sent an email to my gmail account and I received it ok but the reply I sent back never arrived.

I have looked through previous questions, but have not found anything that helps. I am trying to set-up IMAP with my gmail account and all messages are stuck in the OUTBOX.

I am on a MAC.

Not all my forwarded gmail is showing up in my Outlook.com account?

I would like to forward all my gmail to my outlook.com account. I set-up my gmail to forward on my gmail account and set up my gmail alias on my outlook.com account as send only.

Gmail settings

Forward to *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

POP enabled

IMAP enabled

Outlook

gmail account is send-only

smtp.gmail.com Port 465

It works out pretty well but it does not show all my email. Some random emails aren't showing up in outlook.com but are in my gmail account. I was told by google support that it is related to outlook and not google. I can't find a pattern in why the emails aren't coming in. Some in a conversation, from all gmail users, only certain ones are missing. In others, it's just non-gmail domain ones not coming in. Any thoughts on this?

Hotmail verification code endless loop

I've been a Hotmail user for years and now I am receiving a pop-up that wants to verify my security code.

It asks where I want it to be sent, I select the only option my hotmail account and then it doesn't send the code.

It says it will delete my settings on Oct 21st.

It next tells me to sign out.

Is there a way out of this aside from switching to my gmail account full time?

I've read the messages on this forum, but they seem to reiterate the instructions that don't work from hotmail.

scam verify microsoft account?

I have now received 6 e-mails in 24 hours from the Microsoft account team thanking me for verifying my account, giving me a pin code and recommending me to go to account.live.com and change the password if I did not request the code. I have seen several on-line discussions about this some saying it is a scam. Most end up going to private communication. I think it is a scam. Is it and what is the solution? I have summarised briefly what I did below.

1. When I saw the 2 messages first thing in the morning I panicked and I went to the account.live.com link.

2. Having changed the password I got worried as I saw that the hotmail account name was not exactly mine - an underscore added but difficult to see as all text was underlined. So within 2 or 3 minutes of changing my Outlook password I went directly into my Outlook account, my gmail account and my skype account and changed all 3 passwords.

3. 2 hours later I got exactly the same type of e-mail from the Microsoft account team but now with my correct outlook address. Seemed to confirm my worst fears - it looked like a hacker had picked up info from me using the link to account.live.com - but thankfully I had changed the passwords again directly through my accounts.

4. Later last night I got 3 more e-mails from the Microsoft account team all at the same time. These reverted back to the incorrect hotmail name used at the start.. I am ignoring them for now.

I may be somewhat paranoid but none of the above looks like the normal behaviour of a professional Microsoft team or system.

I have run AVG and Msoft safety scanner - no problems found. I have tried using the Msoft Security Support Centre and the Get Support sites - these can both be accessed but both of them do not work. So now I am trying the forum. Please can someone help.

A couple of weeks ago I set up two step verification on my outlook account and used my gmail account and mobile number as a way to receive codes.

My mobile has become problematic and I performed a hard reset. Upon setting up the phone again and setting up my email accounts I was asked for my passwords but am not able to remember. I requested a code be text to my phone which I received and upon entering this code and new password into outlook the screen reloaded and when I tried to sign in with my new password it required I receive another code but the only other option other than receiving text is email to my gmail account to which I have forgotten the password and cant reset this because the back up email on that is the outlook account I need help with and It wont allow a call to my mobile with the code as I have already used my mobile to receive the first step via text. So in short I am unable to access either account without the other and am at a lose.

No Entry Symbol on Junk Mail Folders

For some reason I was having trouble creating folders. The Folders were grayed out. But after playing around, I was able to create a new one.

Background. I have a gmail account and a live.com account feeding into Outlook 2011 on the Mac with 2.7.5 Op Sys.

Later, I noticed that my Junk Mail Folder had two new folders under it, one called "Gmail" and another called "On My Computer." All 3 had the red 0 slash (No Entry) symbols on it and I could not enter them. I did see some emails in my live.com account when I logged on directly.

So, any idea what happened and how I can fix it? Or is this a French Metaphysical Problem ("No Exit" by Sartre.)
