I asked about this topic earlier and had one suggestion, to go to my anti-spyware, which I did.  No file was found with any problem.  I have saved my PowerPoint files to a new folder, but I still can't send them as email attachments.  I get a warning that these are dangerous file types. surely they are not!  What can I do?

thanks,

Ruth

Original title: e-mail probloms Windows 7

I use Windows Live Mail as my e-mail.   Suddenly, the past 2 weeks, my computer has begun to label as "dangerous file type" about 80% of my attachments.  I KNOW these are not dangerous - it even blocked an attachment I sent to myself!

The only advice Microsoft gives is to allow ALL attachments - opening my computer up to viruses.  Obviously, this is not a solution.

Can I do something to stop my computer from suddenly having begun this annoying practice?  Not sure if "settings and personalization" is the correct topic for this question, but am taking a chance.  I use Norton as my security - in case this has anything to do with the problem.
