Windows Live Mail FAQ

You’re currently signed in with an Office 365 email account, which can’t be used with Outlook.com.

My community college only sends emails to our College email, which is connected to Microsoft and for some reason when I try to access my email it gives me this error: " This account can't be used to access Outlook.com
You're currently signed in with an Office 365 email account, which can't be used with Outlook.com. Please click here to sign out of your Office 365 account, then use another Microsoft account to sign in to Outlook.com (for example, your hotmail.com, live.com, or msn.com account)."

Can anyone help? I have no clue what Office 365 is, and why I would be signed into an email account with it. I don't use a hotmail, live, or msn account. The only emails I use are through gmail and yahoo; this has never been an issue before. My teachers are sending emails to my College account and I can't access it. Please help.

Edit: Just to clarify, when I click on the link to "sign out of [my] Office 365 account," it takes me back to the login page and the whole thing occurs again.

I am attempting to log into my college account from the University of Tennessee. When we received our outlook accounts, it was my understanding that they were good for life. Here is the error message I have been receiving.

Skydrive storage credited to wrong account

Bought office 365 University using my personal microsoft account which i use to log in to my surface pro.

During purchase I was asked to verify my student status through my college and to do that I just need to put my college email. Received a verification email, click on the link and succesfully verified my status.

After the purchase was made I was surprise to find out that 25gb skydrive is not credited to my personal account I used for purchase but instead on my college account which I don't use on my surface..

Why is that? That 25gb will be useless as apparently the skydrive app is link to the login account on  my surface which is my personal account not my college account..

Anyway to transfer my skydrive credits? It's the major reason I decided to buy office 365 in the first place and now I cant even use it.
