When I click on attachments and choose a photo, it shows it uploading but about 75% of the way through it stops and then shows that there is an error on the file.  I have tried uploading previous photos that I have sent but the same thing happens.  I have tried using another email address but still no joy.  I am using Windows XP.

I have an account on Hotmail (well now Outlook.com) and when I go to "Insert" - File as Attachments, and select it from Windows Explorer, immediately Internet Explorer crashes and restarts to a "new" message in Outlook.com.  This ONLY happens in Internet Explorer version 10.0.9 on Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1.

I can attach using Google's Chrome or Mozilla's FireFox browser.

When I open a received mail  or my own sent mail containing attachments, and wish to forward it to a third party, the attachments are not included.  How can I correct this?  Al;\so when I reopen a received mail I get the whole string of emails when I only want to see the last one and it  is difficult to find sometimes since it  is listed only by the first receiver or sender.  Hotmail was better in these respects.

Hi,
I cannot download attachments using MAC OSX Mail. when they are more than a few kB in size.
Thanks for your help!
I am receiving all my attachments in pdf and when I open them I can not print them. Is there any way to change it from pdf to word doc.?
This occurs only when sending messages with attachments from Outlook/Hotmail to a single domain outside of Microsoft (tonalrefraction.com).  Messages without attachments are delivered without any problems.  After reading your FAQ's it seems possible that my account may have been either compromised or spoofed.  In the meantime I have taken steps to further secure my account.  I am just an end-user and am unable to find all the information to complete your support request form.  For example I don't use telnet...

Hi,

So I go to send an email with attachments (Never a problem with Hotmail!) and it says file too large.

It suggests I use SkyDrive (whatever that is!) so I go through all the hoops to send my attachments and after an age of uploading to my printing company for them to print out my designs they cannot open any of them?

What has happened?

I sent it directly to them?

The two files add up to no more than say 100 meg and are adobe programme artworks for them to print for me.

Anyway I need this item printed and in my hand by end of the week and time is money so how do I send them 100 meg of artwork quick smart please?

Kind regards

Alex

Original title: problem sending attachments to hotmail account

For the last few months (at least) I have not been able to send an email with any attachments to a hotmail account.  I can send an email with just text which is received but as I work mainly on email, any clients I have who contact me with a hotmail.com or hotmail.co.uk account, I have to ask them to set up a new email address just so I am able to send attachments.

Please can someone advise what I (or they) can do about this?

Thanks
