Hotmail security code

Original Title : HELP PLEASE

Windows are asking me for a security code which I dont

have & are denying me access to my hotmail account.

They keep telling me they have written to my back- up

account address, but nothing is arriving at that address

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP : I AM OLD: NOT TECHIE

SAVVY I do understand the need for security but this is

ridiculous!I dont understand why this is happening to me

& would just like to SPEAK to Technical Support now

I am receiving repeated emails entitled "Microsoft account security code" to my hotmail account. The account address in the emails does not belong to me. I have received dozens of these messages now so I can only assume someone is repeatedly trying to update their account and it is sending the security codes to the wrong email address. How do I correct this?

I have been searching and searching for a hotmail help email account I can send a question to, but I have found no such email address. (I suggest adding a contact email to the support pages.)

I want to rename my current hotmail account to a new @live account. My account address is too long. I want something shorter.

I went to microsoft account - overview - rename account and I get the message "The email address associated with your Microsoft account can't be changed." I don't know why it can't be changed.

I then went to this help page http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/outlook/rename-account

I followed the instructions until part 3 where it says "Under Managing your account, click Rename your email address. You might have to sign in again."

I have no "rename your account" option under "managing your account" I only have create an outlook alias, which is not what I want to do.
