Today I've been working on a pile of new Word documents - saving them straight to the SKyDrive folder on my computer. This is the way I've worked for more than year. But today, those files are not synching with my SkyDrive web browser account. I've checked.
SkyDrive is reporting all my files are up to date one minute ago - but they aren't. There are no error messages, no reason (I've stayed clear of SkyDrive's irritating forbidden characters in file names). If I had not checked, I'd have a false sense of security
that my important work is backed up - when it isn't.
This is no good. There are plenty other cloud storage providers out there. I'm using Dropbox (the gold standard as far as I'm concerned) and Google Drive. They do not have the problems that SkyDrive does.
So, I'm out of here unless you can fix this straight away and assure me it won't happen again.
I need something I can rely on.
