My project was working great earlier today, and then later I tried to open it to work on it a little more, and windows movie maker opens with an error box saying...

"Sorry, Movie Maker cannot open this project file. The file might not be compatible with Movie Maker or be corrupted. Please select a different project file."

I have invested so much time into this project already, and would be devastated if it is all lost. Please help!
