Some images will not open in the body of some messages. I think I inadvertently selected an option to make this happen. I cannot find a way to undo it. Help?

I selected an option about displaying images that caused some images to not open in some incoming messages.  I did not intend this but I cannot find a way to undo it.  Can anyone help?
