Hi there,

Both my wife and I are not receiving some emails in our outlook.com accounts. I would like a quick resolution to this issue because otherwise we will have to change our e-mail hosting set-up.

Our set-up is as follows: (I'm using generic names for privacy):

*** Email address is removed for privacy *** forwards to *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

*** Email address is removed for privacy *** forwards to *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

ourDomain.com also keeps a copy of emails for troubleshooting purposes.

Things I have tried:

I have checked the other posts on answers.microsoft.com regarding this and they did not help. In particular I read through every post in these threads and found nothing that would help:

Outlook.com Not Receiving Some Emails

I'm not receiving emails sent by my family or friends

I have checked all of the folders and filters.

As recommended in I'm not receiving emails sent by my family or friends I have done the following:

  • Checked my junk mail folder --> Nothing found
  • Checked my blocked sender list --> No blocked senders exist
  • Adding e-mails to my safe sender list is impractical because I can't know every possible legitimate sender
  • Checked my email rules --> No rules in place
  • Checked my junk mail settings --> I have selected the least-strict settings possible
  • Checked my reply address --> I have had the "Current e-mail" radio button selected for months

I have checked ourDomain.com's logs.

They show that e-mail was successfully forwarded.

There were no bounce back emails.

The spam score indicates the missing e-mails are unlikely to be classified as spam.

I have tried accessing outlook.com via my web browser, MS Outlook 2007, iPhone client, and Windows Phone client.

I have kept my MS Outlook 2007 closed while checking for these e-mails (to ensure a local anti-virus isn't marking e-mails as spam).

I have searched in every possible folder in every possible device and not found these e-mails.

Hypothesis:

I don't know how things are set-up inside outlook.com so this is a wild guess, but it seems as if is a hidden filter in outlook.com servers that is blocking e-mails and not telling the user. I would like this to be disabled.
