Hello community,

I'm not sure if others have noticed the change of experience using the new SkyDrive in Windows 8.1 or not but here's some points to consider for improvements:

1- Bring the sync status icons back on files & folder inside SkyDrive folder

2- The desktop version was imminent to sync when a change in SkyDrive folder is made while the new one has too much late syncing, whether files added       locally to the folder or from the client itself

3- Right-click menu on files inside the folder now lost a lot of context, no "get a link", "multiple selected files share", "change permissions" & "stop sharing"

4- Even the new client itself lacks "Get a link" for example, so I have to do it from the web version, which is unacceptable

I couldn't live with all those problems so sorry, I switched to Google Drive.

My suggestion is if you want to improve this client, try to make it as close in functionality as possible to the web version as soon as possible, taking into consideration that this should have happened a lot earlier since Windows 8.1 is with public hands already. A deadly mistake was to kill the desktop version while this one is not ready, even at the Preview release's time

I hope to use a fully functional SkyDrive client again on this Windows

I hope these words will reach Microsoft insiders from this community since if they died here, nothing will change...
