I recently purchased a new desktop. I set up SkyDrive on the new computer and, as the Skydrive folder was empty, all files on the cloud were removed once syncing completed.
How does one stop this behaviour?
The reason being, if something happened to the desktop Skydrive folder, I want to have access to the data in the cloud. I can't seem to find an option to set up Skydrive so that, if my computer's SkyDrive folder vanishes, the data in SkyDrive does not also dissappear.
I of course had a backup of the files which I restored onto the new computer and re-synced. But, not an ideal backup solution if the cloud storage dissappers.
