I have read this occur many times. I rely almost completely on skydrive for my file solution (also with 365) so this is very very frustrating and happened literally for no apparent reason.

anyway, it appears that uninstalling and reinstalling is the only option left, questions on that..

1 - I have 38GB of data synced to skydrive from my surface pro (where the problem is) if i uninstall and reinstall will it need to "re-sync"/ upload download all of this?!? will it break some of the office 365 links?!

2 - I have read about "disconnecting computer from skydrive"before uninstalling on some threads but not others. I cannot do this through the icon settings as I have it connected through my microsoft account (greyed out) but i can from skydrive .com . I cannot work out if I should do this first or not? many different answers on here.

basically I just want to refresh skydrive in the quickest and easiest manor without it uploading all of my files again or losing any. its so frustrating as I am very very careful with my use of this device and it seemed to break for no reason
