My wife noticed today that all of her Skydrive files were deleted. As in, it now says that she has 7 GB of 7 GB available.
She has a windows phone and so first noticed something was off this weekend when a Onenote notebook she had pinned to her home screen was no longer pinned. Last night, she tried to log on to Skydrive on her laptop (does not have the desktop app on that computer)
but was unable to log-in, she gave up figuring there was a problem with the website. This morning, when she was at work she logged in and discovered an empty Skydrive, including the Skydrive recycling bin. She has recently switched computers at work and
had not yet put the desktop app on her new computer. When she went back to her old one, which did have the desktop app, she was able to see all of her files there, but not open them. She won't have an opportunity to go back to her old computer until later
today, at which point I told her to copy the files she could see (even if she couldn't open them) to a local folder. However, I'm not optimistic that this will recover the files as they wouldn't open and so are possibly now corrupt.
Another odd thing is that she could no longer see any of the folders that were shared with her. I have multiple folders shared with her and checked on my Skydrive, and sure enough it still says that they are shared with her but she can't see any of them in
her "Shared" area. I have removed the permissions and reshared a folder with her, and she can now see it, but none of the original "shares" are working.
Assuming that the files are corrupt/unusable on that computer, is there another way to recover the files?
I should note that all computers involved are Win 7 computers. The phone is a WP8
