Hi there,

I've seen a bunch of similar questions to this, but haven't seen a solution on the forums anywhere.

I recently upgraded to win 8.1 on both desktop and laptop.  SkyDrive app on desktop (win 8.1 pro) working swimmingly. App on laptop (win 8.1 NOT pro) is continually stuck downloading 32 files.  When I explore the folders/files in the laptop app, the files seem to show available offline, but the folders say pending!

I've rebooted, refreshed, rolled back to win 8 and re-upgraded to 8.1 several times for each on the laptop.

Oddly, if I add a file to the laptop app  it is synced to the web and to the desktop.   Also, if I add a file to the desktop app, it is synced to the web and laptop. File deletions also sync, but nothing I do removes the "downloading 32 items" message on the laptop.

Also, the laptop is not appearing as a device in the list of PCs on the web.

When I roll the laptop back to win 8, and use the old desktop app everything works fine.

When I click on the Downloading 32 files notification in the laptop app, either all the files show as completed or 3 of them appear to be downloading. The difference in results seems to be random,  and not dependant on how long the laptop has been switched on and connected to the internet.

Bizarrely, the "access all files offline" switch in the charms- options - settings of the app keeps turning itself off between restarts. This is happening on both the desktop and the laptop!

Sky Drive sync engine host is running in task manage (laptop and desktop)

Internet connection is stable and shared by both computers

No errors visible in apps on either machine

I've run the trouble shooter found on other similar posts in the forums, no effect on problem.

The desktop file explorer shows the same folders are still syncing as the app on laptop.

Latest important win updates are installed as of today.

This is driving me nuts!
