When I first began using SkyDrive all I needed was a userid and password. Then a dual verification was offered and I received a 'security code'. I am now at the point where I need to get into my folders but I am being stopped because I've misplaced my security code. To make matters worst, the email address I used way back when has been replaced but OneDrive is still showing it as the owner's email address; hence I cannot get a new code sent.
I tried following the procedure to change profile information but when I indicate "use an alternate method" it keep getting sent back to a page looking for me to enter my security code. How can I gain access again?!? Since my profile email address is incorrect it will do no good responding through it. Please use *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.
It was suggested by OneDrive Support that I contact this forum for assistance since they said it appears my access is blocked. I can sign into my account but am faced each time with the security code issue. I have the email address to which the code could be sent but that email is no longer active so it does't do very much good. Can the code be texted to me? 2017255135.
