I am running PCs with Windows 8.1 at two locations.  I have a large library of photos managed using Windows Photo Gallery.  This includes a file structure, people tags, descriptive tags, geotags, captions, ratings, and flags.  I would like to be able to work on this library from either PC.  I can transfer the files/folders between machines, and also the pictures.pd6 file which I believe is the database.  However some of the metadata appears to be lost during this process.

Does anyone have any suggestions for doing this?
