3 seperate Hotmail accounts simultaneously generate this error:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (<my usernames>) account.
Server Error: 3204
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003
I have searched help over days in many forums and tried all of the recommended fixes to no avail:
- Deleted Windows Live Mail folder in "C:\Users\<my user name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail"
- Repaired Windows Live Essentials
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Live Essentials
- Logged out and logged back in to Hotmail
- Tried switching https to http and back again at web address https://login.live.com/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=11&ct=1363075109&rver=6.1.6206.0&wp=SAPI&wreply=https:%2F%2Faccount.live.com%2Fmanagessl&lc=1033&id=38936
- Shut off firewall and tried to connect
- Tried connecting at home network as well as at work network (both worked fine 4 days ago)
Conclusion: WINDOWS LIVE MAIL IS BROKEN ON THE SERVER SIDE
Before the failure, I had made not changes to my network, mail, calendars, or system.
Windows Live Mail application on my Windows 7 machine works for all of my GMail accounts.
Microsoft seems to think everything is working fine, according to their status page https://status.live.com/
If you can offer any help that I have not already tried, please let me know what that is. I don't know how to tell Microsoft that Hotmail is broken.
