I have a hotmail account which I use for messenger and a seperate hotmail account I use for facebook. I have linked the accounts in hotmail (so i don't have to constantly sign in to get to my other accounts), but nothing else. I have double checked that
I have not, on my end, linked my facebook account to my live account via this thread http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/liveid-signin/how-do-i-delete-emailcontactsremove-facebook-link/dbd403dc-9550-4aae-800f-cc11a27f595e
My friend was chatting to me via windows 8 messenger for the first time as she just got a new computer (I was on adium on mac) and somehow the chat started popping up on my facebook messages when I opened up facebook on my browser.
How is this possible if my messenger and facebook emails are completely different? She told me she never linked my msn to my facebook on her end or anything. And I've never linked my facebook and msn account, not even on skype etc. How do I stop this from happening
because I don't necessarily want people from my msn contact list to get to my fb, and vice versa.
So to recap,
When i signed up to facebook, i used email *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
for my messenger I used *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
for skype I also use *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
My friend was testing her new computer and was chatting to my via both skype and messenger to *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. The messages were all coming through my msn, not my skype window (as I haven't linked them yet either). When I turned on my facebook in the browser, those
messages then started to send through facebook. I don't understand how this is possible as the email addresses are completely different. And if it possible, it seems a bit like a breach of privacy.
