Sent items show up in the sent folder multiple times

When I open the windows live mail on my computer the initial sync for my hotmail account downloads emails that I sent from my mobile about 60 times for each email. The people in receipt said they only received one copy though on my end it appears they received it 60 times or so.

I have deleted the account from windows live and gone into outlook.com and changed the password before re-adding the account to the windows live and the problem persists.

Any ideas what the problem is and how to fix it. Only started happening in the last 2-3 weeks.
