While in Hawaii 2 weeks ago, my sister attempted to set up my hotmail account on a mobile phone she was loaning me.  However, Microsoft took this as a breach of security and sent out messages; "we detected something unusual about a recent sign-in for the Microsoft acct m****.  For example, you may be signing in from a new location, device or app.  To help keep you safe, we've blocked access to your inbox, contact list and calendar for that sign-in.  Please review recent activity and we'll help you take corrective action.  To regain access you'll need to confirmat the recent activity was yours".  I click on "review recent activity" and get a message "we're not ready for you" .....????

Then:  "Someone started a process to replace all of the security info for the Microsoft acct m******.  If this was you, you can safely ignore this email.  Your security info will be replaced with tag****** when the 30 day waiting period is up.  If this wasn't you, someone else might be trying to take over m*****.  Click here and we'll be able to help protect this account."  I had a security code from last July which I tried and it did not work.  I've got a gmail account and have requested a security code 3 times and 3 times the system prompted "code invalid, check and try again" ...... it's like going in circles!!

Anyone who's had this trouble will know you can still get into your account, but is there anyway to get around this and just get back to a normal sign-in process without waiting the 30 days to get whatever type of info will be forthcoming??  This is very very frustrating.  Any quick and easy way to fix this??  Help please!
