An outlook account I haven't used for a while but the password of which is correct prompted the powers that be to ask for verification. They sent a 5-digit code to the other email address I had indicated when I signed up.

I copied the 5 digits and went back to the page to enter them into the field, and wouldn't you know it - Microsoft is now asking me for a SEVEN (7) DIGIT CODE!!!

This is nuts! I was able to defer this, but the verification runs out in a few days. Then, I suspect, I will face the same nonsense again.

What am I supposed to do now? Fight windmills with tea spoons?
