retrieving deleted files

I have accidentally deleted my folders which had valuable files on the new outlook software which is synced to what used to be my Hotmail account.

I tried to use your online help but it's very messy. The deletion happened a few months back (2 or 3 I believe)

Are they retrievable ?

if so what should I do ? 
PLEASE HELP !
