I have spent endless/needless hours trying to remove duplicate contacts from Windows Live Mail.  I've searched and searched the internet for solutions and nothing works.

I've gone to people section and cleaned up duplicate contacts - it now says I have no duplicates.  But it doesn't remove them from my contact lists in Windows Live Mail.

Very frustrating that MS can't find an easy and understandable solution to this.
