Recently my computer was held hostage by someone in India trying to extort money from me.  Lose of use was threatened within an hour if I did not make additional funds available throught a Green Dot debit card.  In short I refused.  Was able to regain the use of my computer, but e-mail was disabled ie;  could not log in using ligitiment password and user name.  I contacted Time Warner cable and with remote access we discovered that we could access mail, but the contact list was gone and we could not add contacts manually, and trying to save contacts from mail everything was gone. Could not draft a message etc..  Down loading the software again was no solution.  I have deleted windows live mail from C: program files(x86)windows livemailmail.exe, but can not delete Windows Mail from the same directory.  Malwarbytes and SVG, and Spybot have been unable to detect and/or delete any virus, worm trojan horse etc. . Any ideas?
