ORIGINAL TITLE: Message from *** Email address is removed for privacy *** asking for my personal information

I have received a message from *** Email address is removed for privacy *** asking for my user ID, password, age, country, and phone number in order to keep my hotmail account from being blocked.  It is asking for a response within 24 hours.  Is this a hoax or a real message from Hotmail that must be answered.
