I'm currently creating a movie for an oral presentation with several people. We were using Windows Movie Maker, editing and cropping our videos. We were using the program for roughly 2 hours before we had to leave school. As we were leaving, we saved our project and it said save complete. The laptop was then turned off and we went to another location. Ten minutes later the laptop was turned on and when the project was opened on Movie Maker it said " Sorry, Movie Maker can't open this project file. The file might not be compatible with Windows Movie Maker or be corrupted."

The file is compatible with the program because we are using the same laptop and program. The file is saved when you search for it and it says the time it was saved, but when you open it there are no videos and the preview screen is black. We can't understand how it could have been deleted. This project it due in 2 days so please reply ASAP...

Thanks
