I went to this site: https://support.live.com/default.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396 and click on "Windows Live Age Verification" which brought me to this
form: https://support.live.com/eform.aspx?productKey=wlageverification&ct=eformcs
The people who respond to this form do not actually know anything about Windows Live Age Verification. Despite all my arguments, they insist I post my issues on this public forum.
I have tried again and again and again to convince them that my problem is inappropriate for a public forum (I have been billed 13 times for the $.50 age verification charge!) And that there is no way I am going to post billing / credit card information
to a public forum.
Perhaps the people who respond to the "Windows Live Age Verification" support form are not actually the right people to handle issues with "Windows Live Age Verification" though that seems hard to believe. Perhaps the form is directing messages to the
wrong group -- that is actually easier to believe. But, IMO, if this is the case, they simply should have forwarded my issue to the proper people.
So now, here I sit, with no recourse to support, no way to verify a minor's account, and 13 charges on my credit card from each time I tried to verify my son's age. Apparently the system works fine to the point where it charges your credit card, then it
fails.
So, does anyone know where you go for issues like this with Windows Live Age Verification? I don't think this forum is the appropriate place (there isn't even a category for it) and the links above DEFINITELY are not the right place (despite all indications
to the contrary).
