I have used and ATT free e-mail account in the Ameritech.net domain for a number of years. I was able to attach it to Windows Live with no problem and it was ported over to Outlook.com with no problem. Suddenly in mid-October I stopped receiving e-mails in this account on Outlook.com. After numerous hours on the phone with ATT, I was able to sign-in and access the account directly through ATT.net.

When I look up the mail options on my Outlook.com program. it shows "This account cannot currently receive e-mail" under this account. When I click on "Details" and then "Edit" a screen comes up with the details on this account. When I update the server, username, and password areas for this account and click "Save" I get a message that says "We couldn't sign in to your POP3 server. Please make sure your username and password are correct". Furthermore, when a leave this page and return later, my old password is "saved".

I know the domain, username, and password are correct because I can access my messages directly with them on ATT.net. On the other hand, for some reason the Outlook.com system will not save or my new settings.

I have tried everything including deleting the account and re-entering it from scratch, and nothing sees to work.

Can you help me resolve this problem.
