I’m helping a friend import messages and addresses from Outlook Express into Windows Live Mail. There are several Outlook Express .dbx folders, including one called Folders.dbx. But Windows Live Mail doesn’t import all the .dbx folders, only three of them. Windows Live Mail gives you the option to select which .dbx folders to import, but it shows only three of them, even though there are others. None of the folders are designated as Read Only.
I also tried to import the Outlook Express files into Outlook 2010 running on a Windows Vista computer, but it didn’t find the .dbx files. Outlook 2010 doesn’t let you specify the location of the .dbx files and I don’t know where it expects to find them. I tried putting them in C:Users{user name}AppDataLocalMicrosoftOutlook Express, but that didn’t work.
Does anyone have a solution? Thank you.
