I've recently bought a Canon HF R606 Camcorder with Recording setup for AVCHD & Video quality 50P. Movie Maker 2012 can import the AVCHD files no problem as well editing & playing inside Movie Maker 2012 OK. The movie sequence would start with a picture + title followed by a series of video clips & then end with some more pictures + credits. The end result is that the movie cannot be played on my PC or DVD Player when saving it to 1080 High Definition Display. The picture quality is unacceptably terrible when played on my DVD Player if saved to the recommended setting as per Movie Maker.

The error Media Player comes up with is "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."

When attempting to play via the DVD Player the error it comes up with is "The File is corrupt or unsupported."

I had a Sony HDR-CX190 Handycam that went faulty recently with which I could record, import AVCHD & save edited movies in 1080 High Definition Display via Movie Maker 2012 which can play on my PC, DVD Player & HD TV with no problems whatsoever.

Can anyone please help me fix this problem, seems to be a codec related issue but I'm not sure how to fix this.

Type PC OS: Win7 Prof. X32 Bit.

Type DVD Player: Sony Blue Ray (Full HD 1080) Type: BDP-S1100

Type HD TV: LG 42LD460-TA (FULL HD)
