I'll try to explain exactly what's going on in my presentations:

When you'r in a new slide for the first time, it won't change if you just click anywhere with the mouse. But once you choose and click a button (this button cause an animation to run, but don't change to another slide), It "unlock" the transitions so if you then click on the slide (not the button) it changes.
