I have an email account through @msn.com. I changed the name on the account so that when I email someone it shows a name change.

I initially did this from my cell phone. It said I needed a security code and it sent it to me in a text. I also deleted another email account and my former work number from ways of contacting me. I put in the code that MSN sent me where it requested it and hit save. After several seconds, it came back and said I was not hooked to the server. I have attempted to do this from my desk top as well as my phone. I am no longer receiving emails at the email address. What happened???  All I did was change the last name on my profile, and delete a secondary contact number and email address. It was not the primary email address.
