Original title: Photo gallery stops

Windows live photo gallery started giving notices in August that it had stopped working and would try to resolve the problem and then it just quits.   I spent three and a half hours on the phone with Help for this and other problems and still have the problem.  It is on my laptop which I up-graded to windows 10.  I have try several times to repair the program, uninstalled and reinstalled it several times, scanned it for viruses, and just about everything with no improvement.   I basically have quit trying and need to update my photos.  I need a solution that works.  It all seemed to start with windows 10 upgrade.
