I have Windows 8.1. Photo Gallery was working fine until I downloaded Windows Essentials 2012.  Now, every time I open photo gallery a box opens that says "PHOTO GALLERY HAS STOPPED WORKING.  A problem has caused the program to shut down.  Windows is looking for a solution.

Then another box opens and says

"Photo Gallery encountered a problem and is closing.  Microsoft will notify you when a solution is available."  And, of course I have not been notified by anyone.  How can I get photo gallery back up and running.
