I use Windows 10 Pro, but I had this problem before updating from Windows 8.1 Pro. The problem is with Photo Gallery, which is part of Windows Essentials 2012. It looks like the people tag Marita (not the real name) is alwaws changed to Greg (not the real name). This occurs for photos that previously had the people tags correct and when I try to set new people tags for Marita. Other people tags seem to be OK.

In a picture with just Marita where she was correctly labeled before, her people tag is changed to Greg. So I removed the people tag and tried to add the Marita tag to the picture. Marita was not listed as a people tag that I had previously used (even though I used it many times). So I tried to add a new people tag for her. I typed Marita and told it to add the new tag. However, it changed the name to Greg and said that people tag already exists and couldn't be added. I was able to give her a new people tag as another new person (Marita-2).

In a picture with Marita and Greg where they were both correctly labeled before, the people tag for Greg is still correct, but the tag for Marita is removed. This may be because the tag for Marita tries to change to Greg and there is already a people tag for Greg and you can't give two different people in the same picture the same people tag.

I first noticed this problem about a month ago, but something may have happened well before that. The metadata for a picture with just Marita, now shows that the people tag has been changed to Greg. In the Control Panel>Programs for Windows Essentials 2012, I selected repair, and it said that it completed OK, but the problem remained the same.
