when I download windows essentials 2012 I receive a window showing photo gallery and movie maker, but when I click on it nothing happens. I receive a message saying it is already installed on your pc, windows 8.1. how do I fix the problem.

it was installed on my pc, but I lost it somehow. when I go to programs-windows live-photo gallery is listed when I click on the folder windows live, but nothing is there.
