My new laptop uses windows Hotmail as a password. Its an ASUS if that helps. Anyway not expecting any problems with this sign in process I kept the Hotmail password as a sign in method. Anyway. On a reboot to fix an unresponsive program. I then entered the password only to be told it was incorrect. Thinking I entered the password wrong. re-entered it. again told it was wrong.

My first thoughts was perhaps my windows live account had been hacked. So got a hold of my brothers Laptop.  Fired up windows live that password matched the account.

For further info. I tried to use the refreash option which would take the laptop back to factory settings. Was told that the partition had been deleted and that function was not an option.
