3 days ago my windows live mail stopped sending or receiving mail. i am using att/yahoo server. Settings in windows live mail are POP3 inbound.att.net 995, outbound.att.net 465. the message I get reads incorrect username or password. I know that the username & password are correct because I can login on a chrome browser & yahoo with no problem.
I then setup an additional account under IMAP using SMTP.mail.yahoo.com 465, imap.mail.yahoo.com 993. This then kept bringing up the username & password screen.
To no avail I cannot get this mail working no matter what I do.
Can you help?
Thanks

Windows Live Mail rejects me as a sender, error code 550 5.1.0; WLM ID 0x800CCC78
Tried the following, but didn't correct the problem:
1. click Windows Key + R (to open run)
2. in the run type and enter: REGEDIT
3. Go to Computer > HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows Live Mail
4. Create these 3 DWORD entries (if they didnt exist) or change to 1 if they exist
RecreateFolderIndex = 1
RecreateStreamIndex = 1
RecreateUIDLIndex = 1
Does anyone have a solution. I can receive, modify, move around email. Just get rejected as a sender.
Over the last while hackers are trying to sync my account, They have had one successful sync . Daily there are attempts form all over the world. I have changed my password and improved my security but, what do I do next?
Help
Windows 10. I use a GMail account through Windows Live Email. Following a Windows update, all new emails received show no body to the email message. The emails load, but each email shows this error message:
Message could not be displayed
Windows Live Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again.
