Question about Outlook Express

I have just started to use a new Windows 10 PC.  Everything transferred over from the old PC without too much problem.  I continued to use Live Mail as my main email means.  Last night I discovered that my contact list had disappeared.  I cannot even create a new contact.  If I send an email I can still access the drop down listing from the "To", "CC" & "BCC" areas but there is nothing visible in the former contact list.  I note that others have had similar problems but I cannot see any resolution having been found.

Can anyone help please?

My husband had to setup a new computer for me from scratch and I have Windows 10, I had Windows Live Mail 2011 in previous computer and now he has loaded Windows Live Mail 2012 which is very similar to 2011 but  I now have problem with my Calendar (can't enter an event) option is grayed out and I also noticed yesterday that whenever I go to resend or forward an email I have already, it always says it didn't go but most of the time it does.  I also noticed the option for calendar event is grayed out in email also. I feel there may be other issues but i haven't been using it that long; not being able to enter events or reminders in my calendar is truly a huge inconvenience.  I would appreciate any help you can give me for I am becoming very frustrated trying to figure these problems out. Thank you in advance for you time and kind attention to this matter. 

I also notice my email is at the top right of email page and calendar showing I believe I am signed in.  I do not remember ever seeing this before in my 2011 version.  Should I signed in or ???  I have read a little about this, very little.   Thanks again.

I have received a very suspicious e-mail, purporting to be from "Citizins [sic] Bank." The unusual thing is that a right click on it shows both "Forward as Attachment" and "Properties" greyed out! I've never seen this before. What does it mean?

Also, some e-mails in the Inbox appear with distorted icons. The image of an envelope is incomplete, as if its lower one-third had been chewed off. That's the best way I can describe it. I would really like to know what it means. How are those mails different from those with the "normal" icon.

Recently started having issues "replying" to an email I have sent to someone. Get an email error that says: "550 permanent Failure. Message Delivery Failed". This seems only to occur on an email I have sent out personally to someone; they reply & then when I try to reply to the original email, it won't go.

Please advise.

Windows  / Windows 10  / Performance & system failures

I've been away, appeared to get update last night and this morning live mail is not working.

All emails have vanished completely not just inbox etc but also ones I created for archive etc,

and it no longer automatically puts up sign-in box to get new emails.

Can't find any way to get anything to work.

Any suggestions gratefully received

I am currently using Windows Live Mail for my e-mail.

Today, I started getting error messages when synching to receive e-mail messages on my PC.

The message reads "Unable to send or receive messages for the hawaii.rr.com account.  The operation was cancelled by the user".

I have not made any changes for a long long time, so don't understand the error.

Any help is much appreciated!
