Question about Outlook Express

I have W10/64. I use Widows Live Mail as the client to Comcast email. Comcast is converting to imap. When I set up a Comcast imap account in Live Mail it doesn't work. Comcast says that it must be a Live Mail problem.  Anybody got any ideas?

:  How can I get this to straighten a photograph?  It is only a minor adjustment.  One that your old software did fabulously.  And, while I am on topic, do you have any other products that might approach the ease, simplicity and power of this "discontinued in 2012" software?  I have more powerful editing software, but a lot of my editing is fairly easy and is for family things.

I changed from POP server setting  to iMAP as service provider required it. I can now receive messages but not send them

I now get the following message: 

'The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's email address.'

I am still getting unwanted emails even though I have set the safety options to receive mail from the "safe list only".
