Question about Outlook Express

Continuation of this thread.

Just wanted to comment the old way of launching the little slideshow app by simply double-clicking any thumbnail attachment was great!

But now, if the post just contains pics as basic attachments, double-clicking the pic in the eml almost freezes the system before a "How do you want to open this file" popup appears. So if the eml has twenty pics, one has to negotiate the same popup twenty times.

It would be helpful if the "View slideshow" button was not available if it doesn't function for these types of attachments.

There was a fixit way back here- would that help anything now?

my windows live mail is 2012, do i need to update

Sometimes when attempting to send a group email of 45 recipients the email fails to go to the list.

I then have to reload all the addressee in a new category.  Can you help please?

I've been happily using the calendar in WLM for years, and for the last 2 years with Windows 10 on a new laptop...until yesterday when I logged on it wouldn't load.  I've tried every "fix" I could find on the internet and it seems that if it fails now it's lost forever as it's no longer supported by Microsoft.  I really need my diary/calendar as my life, past and future, is on there (without a back up hard copy!!)   I can live without my emails as they are on another provider.   Does anyone know if it is possible to find the file somewhere within my lap top so I have an idea of where I should be and when...please :)  The only thing that I did differently yesterday was try to edit a video clip in Windows Movie maker, could that have caused the problem?

When I click on Live Mail if freezes on the page loading.....
