I have multiple times tried to create my Gmail account on windows live mail.
I have already been on Gmail and enabled IMAP and less secure apps.
I have double checked my password by logging in on another device.
I have manually input the account settings:
- Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server - Requires SSL
- imap.gmail.com
- Port: 993
- Requires SSL:Yes
- Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - Requires TLS
- smtp.gmail.com
- Port: 465 or 587
- Requires SSL: Yes
- Requires authentication: Yes
- Use same settings as incoming mail server
- Full Name or Display Name: [your name]
- Account Name or User Name: your full Gmail address (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***). Google Apps users, please enter *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
- Email address: your full Gmail address (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) Google Apps users, please enter *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
- Password: your Gmail password
ALL I GET at the end of the day is: The server has rejected your login. Please verify that your username and password are correct.
I'm at my wits end
Hi everyone, I have a mate and we email each other to keep in touch. I rely on my contact list (windows Mail) to find his address, I type in his Christian name and normally up pops his name and email. This morning I carried out the same process, however no name and address appeared, Can any one suggest an alternative method to obtain the address?
Kind Regards
Colin

Hi,
I have a Windows 10 PC and use Windows Live Mail 2011 for my emails and Calendar. Whilst everything is OK on the email side of things a few months ago all of the entries in my Calendar (past, present and future) disappeared.
I've been in touch with Microsoft who informed me that this particular programme is no longer supported so they can't help me.
I don't want to use an alternative Calendar of e-mail programme as I have literally thousands of e-mails stored in multiple folders in my Cabinet.
Does anyone have any ideas how to get my Live Mail Calendar working again without risking email data loss? Your help would be appreciated.
